ALBUM REVIEW ::: Kaleem Taylor ‘Alone’ EP

UK Rising star Kaleem Taylor is bringing you his second EP titled ‘Alone’ through the Radar Music label on 4th November 2012. The West London singer has had a whirlwind 12 months where he has reached some significant milestones in his career. Taylor has made his radio debut on DJ Target’s BBC Radio 1Xtra Homegrown, as well as performing at Brixton Academy in front of thousands as he opened for US superstars Miguel and Boyz II Men.

After the success of his first EP titled ‘Smooth’ the talented vocalist returns with his second installment ‘Alone’. The premise of his second projects is relationships and the struggles experienced whilst with your partner. Nevertheless the title ‘Alone’ has a deeper meaning, as Kaleem is a firm believer that his own sound is like no other, and the uniqueness of his voice has resulted in him creating his own lane, hence being ‘alone’ in the industry.

The tracklisting of the EP exhibits the highs and lows of a relationship going from the ‘Magic’ of the proverbial honeymoon stage to the period where you are hoping ‘It’ll Get Better’ until ultimately the ‘True Colours’ of your partner are revealed. As the EP unfolds it will relate to anybody who has experienced the unraveling of a relationship that ultimately spirals out of control. Taylor’s smooth vocals and unique sound adds an edge to each individual track placing a greater emphasis on the emotional values involved.

‘Alone’ acts as a warm up to Taylor’s debut album which is currently being worked on as he has been in the studio alongside a number of producers including, Davinche, Bondax, Eats Everything, Ins and more.
