ALBUM REVIEW ::: NEWTON FAULKNER ::: WRITE IT ON YOUR SKIN

We love Newton Faulkner. His music speaks sense and leaves you with a big beaming smile on your face. With the music industry full of acoustic artists it takes something special to stand out. Newton is the Godfather of the guitar and was ahead of the game even before Ed Sheeran knew what loop pedals were.

His brand new album ‘Write It On Your Skin’ is released this week and is currently sitting pretty in the number one slot at the top of the charts. With tough competition from other smashing albums from Lianne La Havas and Frank Ocean, Newton is shining brightly.

Take a listen to his album sampler and think about sunny days, enormous hugs and going after your dreams. From his current single ‘Clouds’ right through to ‘Pick Up Your BRoken Heart’ Newton’s music oozes positivity and a brightness that picks you up, dusts you down and tells you everything is going to be just rosy. His track ‘Soon’ says “For once in your life it’s going to be alright” and I believe him. Here’s to creating anything you want to in your life. Whatever.

(P.S. As i wrote this, I was listening to ‘Soon’ and had tears rolling down my face. It’s amazing how music can speak to you when you are least expecting it to)
