MZ BRATT ::: FALLING DOWN ::: MISTAJAM 1XTRA EXCLUSIVE

We love MistaJam’s show on 1Xtra keeping our ears alive with Dubstep, Grime, Hip hop, D&B, Dancehall and everything in between. This week he is running an exclusive Mz Bratt interview every day whilst featuring her new record Falling Down as a Jam Hot. Falling Down isn’t released until the 6^th of May but MistaJam loves it and the message behind the track so has chosen it to be his record of the week. This means the record will get a spin every night at 19:40 Mon 9^th April -Thurs 12^th April.

Speaking of the track, Mz Bratt tells us:

“I first got the idea for Falling Down about two years ago, I wrote the track with Emeli Sande and we had a really good vibe together and then obviously two years later she’s blown up and she’s doing crazy things.  But I came across a really talented singer called Khalaelian, I thought it would be amazing to showcase her.

The idea for Falling Down came from just experiences in life and what people around me were going through and what I was going through and how I can relate to the actual subject matter I was talking about.  You know, Falling Down is about finding love in all the wrong places and a young girl who got caught up in the hype of drinking and going out. I could relate to it because sometimes when you’re a young female growing up you know, you do look for love and happiness in all the wrong places and it never lasts. “
