Once in a while, you hear an artist who surprises you. Laura Wolfie is 19 and wise beyond her years, her lyrics are open and honest and she manages to combine them with melodies which are unlike anything floating around your iTunes or the current chart. In an entirely good way, trust me. Her vocals are distinctive, her lyrics are heartfelt but cleverly written, and it’s safe to say that she has really found her niche in the underground scene.
She’s already studied at the prestigious ICMP and is currently working on her upcoming solo album, naming her musical influences as Lauryn Hill, Jazmine Sullivan, Wiley, The Sex Pistols and Elvis.
In addition to this, she has a bloody awesome name. She even sounds like a musician, and she’s going to be amazing.
