With an undeniably fresh & original sound, Tara London has been gently tiptoeing around the music scene bringing with her authentic 50s & early 60s vocal tones. But now, set to don her platform boots and stomp her place among the music industry’s finest with her debut album ‘Fairytales & Stepping Stones’, Tara London is certainly one to watch. Having won “Best Female Solo Artist’ and ‘Best Soul/Funk/Blues Artist 2010’ at ‘The People’s Music Awards’, it’s safe to say that this chick has talent in abundance. Think Eva Cassidy meets Peggy Lee meets Adele and you have Tara London in one. She has the ability to sit comfortably alongside artists such as Paloma Faith, Lana Del Ray and Duffy whilst still remaining down to earth. If you haven’t heard of Tara London before, now is the perfect time as she is just about to embark on a 3 month tour with Simon Clothier and his band, supporting ‘The Soldiers and The Springfields’. Playing venues such as Newcastle City Hall & Cardiff’s St David’s Hall to name a couple, all over the UK, 2012 is proving to be a big year already for the lady who shines brighter than her namesake’s skyline.
