UNSIGNED :: The Thirst

So The Thirst, individually cool looking dudes.

Together, 4 of the suavest, most talented, charismatic guys on the unsigned scene.

After having the pleasure of meeting them recently, I checked out their debut EP “Laugh With The Sinners” available online at www.thethirst.co.uk, I was seriously impressed. What I love most about these guys, is their diverse upbringing and the fact that they don’t just draw influence from one particular genre, they get amongst it all. From Afro-Carribean to punk, throw in hip-hop, drum and bass and you have The Thirst.

Considering they’ve shared the stage with huge artists ranging from The Rolling Stones to Wiley, and opened up for The Libertines you find yourself asking the same question as me, Why aren’t the labels banging down the bloody doors?!

Regardless of it being a slow year on signings for the majors, these boys are an act ready for the big time. I can see how a comparison can be drawn from acts like Bloc Party, but The Thirst have this rock element and sharpness that separates them from anything else in the charts, they’ve found their niche, the individual sound, the quality and a standard that other artists strive to meet.

Every single person viewing this absolutely MUST check out The Thirst soon, not just online, but LIVE.

Anybody who reads my reviews will know I’m a sucker for artists that don’t just sound good in your headphones, but absolutely smash it live! The Thirst have it down, as you can see from “I Swear” above, the stage presence, the charisma and the sound, the whole package.

You know the score, quench The Thirst. (sorry guys, couldn’t resist)
