‘Baby Mother’ is a hard-hitting track that explores a relationship where the mother is giving her man grief, and there was me - 100 per cent expecting it to be from the baby mother’s perspective. Timer Geddon smashes the boundaries and spits about his girl playing games, using his child against him and altogether sounds like a bitch and a half, “telling me I’m this, telling me I’m that, saying that I’m worthless, I ain’t worth that”.
I love a song with narrative and this one get’s you thinking as it’s not your stereotypical rap song about hoes and partying. It’s dark subject matter makes me think of Plan B, with Timer Geddon’s sharp and sometimes explicit lyrics, and a even darker beat that carries it.
The video is slick as it follows the rapper’s turmoil at the hands of his ‘baby mother’. She does sound kind of harsh though with the rapper saying, “she wanted to see me slumber, night night!” Jeez, sounds like drama.
If the track floats your boat and you’re not a baby mama seeking revenge, check out the rest of Timer Geddon’s music at http://www.youtube.com/timergeddononline.
