WE LOVE ::: Ellie Goulding

Elena Jane “Ellie” Goulding. After what seems a long break in the UK charts, it’s confirmed that October 2012 is the month you will be blessed with a shiny new album titled ‘Halcyon’.

In March 2010 her debut studio album ‘Lights’ was launched, and went number 1 in the UK album charts. In 2011 she joined Katy Perry on her US tour, and featured on Tinie Tempah’s hit ‘Wonderman’. She performed at Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding reception, singing her take on ‘Your Song’ and her smash hit  ’Starry Eyed’.

In an interview recently at the ‘Elle Women in Music Event’ she claims, her new album will have a different sound to her debut album ‘Lights’ and ”it’s going to be even more emotional”. Currently the single ‘Lights’ is number 4 on the ‘billboard  top 100 chart’ in the US.

Also we’ve had the pleasure of a remix with her partner DJ Sonny Moore (better known as Skrillex) titled ‘Summit’ ft Ellie Goulding. Recently the release of her brand new track ‘Hanging on’ ft Tinie Tempah was available as a free download for 2 weeks.

Her latest video ‘Anything Could Happen’ has a floaty and futuristic look to it. However the story in the video is actually dramatic and thought provoking, and is about taking life with both hands and treasuring every moment, hence the title. Her latest song proves she still has that very unique sound that we know and love as Ellie Goulding.

Will her new album ‘Halcyon’ live up to the same standard of her debut album ‘Lights’ or will it leave us all ‘starry eyed’, only time will tell.
