This year the UK alt-pop scene was revived by one band, an album and their sensational stage presence. Yes, I am talking about Hot Chip and In Our Heads released earlier this year, just in time for the festival season.

But winter is dawning and the post summer blues have arrived. But worry not as Hot Chip are here to help you reminisce about the scorching musical season that has just passed. Forthcoming single ‘Don’t Deny Your Heart’ is off their upcoming In Our Heads: Expanded Edition album. The single manages to fuse Hot Chip’s suave production style with their more experimental side.

‘Don’t Deny You Heart’ sticks to Hot Chip’s original, minimal tech sounds, adored by their fans and combined it with lustrous eighties inspired beats.  Staying true to their sound but creating a refreshing presence, Hot Chip have managed to remind us of what is great about British music - and that is them. Having had the single on repeat, one thing becomes apparent, it leaves you with the feel good factor, and that is a musical achievement in itself.

You can currently catch Hot Chip on tour with Disclosure and Django Django around the UK. The single and album, which includes unreleased remixes by Optimo, Daphni, Charlie Fracture and Major Lazer, will be available to buy from October 26, 2012.
