“Look, Stranger are a vision of the future from the past…”
Move over Foals and Everything, Everything, there’s a new band on the block; taking the electronic indie genre to a brand new level, Look, Stranger are seriously hotting things up when it comes to charming looking bearded/fringed men playing instruments.
Old skool yet with a innovative sound, it’s as if Look, Stranger are in on a secret the rest of the world are slowly discovering. Combining a mixture of retro beats while their lyrics straddle the sophisticated side of the electronic pop genre, these seriously talented musicians offer more than meets the eye.
“Do you ever count the ways?”
Without the video, if you close your eyes whilst listening to Look, Stranger, you’d assume there was more than one band playing. The ability to change their sound within seconds is something I’m in awe of as it continuously keeps the listener entertained.
Their fresh outlook on music is clear throughout many of their songs and you can tell that pure talent runs through the band’s veins and this in turn makes Look, Stranger one of the most genuine bands I’ve come across in a long time.
If bands such as The Wild Beasts tickle your fancy, I’d urge you to give Look, Stranger a listen:
