There’s high expectations for a band when they’ve supported the likes of Paramore and Billy Talent, are set to support Pulled Apart By Horses, have their own headline tour approaching and Zane Lowe named one of their songs his 6th September 2012 ‘Hottest Record In The World’ on Radio 1. The stakes have been raised and Pure Love go above and beyond what’s expected of them.
Pulling in a crowd of 10,000 people at Reading & Leeds Festival this year, Pure Love show no signs of stopping their domination of the music industry; their single ‘Riot Song’ is out on 22nd October 2012 and their debut album ‘Anthems’ is set to be released in February 2013.
‘Riot Song’ tells a tale of the “triumphant emotion you feel when people pull together after an incident or tragedy. It’s about starting something bigger than yourself. It’s about joining together to overcome obstacles. It’s about leaving your mark in this world. It’s about action.” as frontman, Frank Carter, explains. It’s a song set to bring music lovers together, a song destined for a mosh pit based on a shared appreciation of music – as opposed to pushing other’s against railings – and an amazing taste of what Pure Love have yet to unleash upon the world.
It all kicks off for the boys on their headline tour:
